Q What kind of documentation would you recommend shredding?
     
  A Any documents that are no longer required and could
become dangerous if in the wrong hands. This would include
 
    classified documents, contracts, competitive intelligence, medical records, legal documents, account records/ledgers, payroll records, financial records, bids & quotations, meeting minutes, marketing development, maps & blueprints, invoices, customer lists, bank statements, tax records, confidential memos, estimates, R & D reports, price lists, advertising misprints, new product proposals, computer print outs, canceled & blank checks, confidential correspondence, outdated business records, patent application materials.
     
Q How much can you shred in an hour?
     
  A We can shred up to 1500 pounds per hour under optimal conditions.
     
Q What type of materials are your shredding machines capable of destroying?
     
  A

Paper products, VHS, 8mm tape, CDs, diskettes, microfilm and microfiche, ID cards as well as credit cards.

     
Q Do we have to remove paperclips and staples?
     
  A No, this is not a problem for the shredder.
     
Q Do you mix different colors of paper when shredding?
     
  A The paper is not sorted for recycling purposes. Any stock and color may be shredded.
     
Q Where does the shredded material go?
     
  A Shredded paper is either handled through a paper broker or sent directly to a recycling facility.
     
Q Are your employees bonded?
     
  A Yes. All of our employees are bonded and have passed a background security check.
     
Q How long does it take to book your service?
     
  A Our call-in service is 8 hours.
     
Q Do you recycle the shredded material?
     
  A The material is recycled if possible. We try to ensure a maximum recycling capacity.
     
Q Do you require a contract?
     
  A No, we rely on our service guarantees to maintain our customers.
     
Q Our organization consists of less than 10 employees. Does this constitute enough material to shred?
     
  A Certainly. It doesn't matter how frequently you may require document destruction. Keeping your business secure is our focus. We also can provide you with locked security bins.
     
Q Do you provide a Certification of Destruction?
     
  A Yes. We provide a Certificate of Destruction after each visit guaranteeing that your materials are non-restorable.
     
Q How long do you suggest we keep our documents/information?
     
  A Our best advice would be to consult legal counsel. Depending on the material, there may be independent legal requirements.
     
Q How do we get a quote? (Free quotes?)
     
  A Quotes are free. Please contact us via e-mail or by phone.
     
Q We are about to move. Should we also move any old and outdated files?
     
  A No. Any files that you have made sure are obsolete should be shredded. Moving these files incurs cost and space.
     
Q What about material which is bound in three-ring binders?
     
  A The material should be removed from three-ring binders. Our shredders can handle three-ring binders, but the quality of recycled paper will be improved if this is done.

Do we have to pay for the key-locked security bins?

     
  A No. This service is provided free of charge.
